Real people. | Real places. | Real conversations.

They say the best way to learn is by doing. So we’re hitting the streets of Paris to show you how French people actually think, speak, and live!

The parts of the city and French culture you usually don’t get to see.

And how you can blend into the crowd, avoid French faux pas, and sound just like a local.

Packed full of useful language for everyday encounters, French for the Real World is the perfect combination of practical, educational, and entertaining

    So
    , allez, suivez-moi – je vais vous montrer à quoi ressemble la vie d’un(e) français(e) à Paris!

A French course co-created by YOU!

We wanted this to be a course designed by French learners for French learners. After all, who knows what and how you want to learn better than you?

So we put the call out to the Naked French community.

    Here’s what we found out.

    You’re visual and audio learners

And you learn best by watching videos on real street French, French culture, and short grammar explainers.

All with subtitles, of course. French spelling is HARD.

You like to shake things up

You thrive with a mix of bite-sized content and longer learning sessions, depending on the day. We get it. Life’s hectic!

But you’re mostly on your own schedule. No cramming for exams or trying to stuff as many words in your head as you can in a month.

You want to go beyond grammar books

You want to learn French you can use – not perfect, formal French that only works in a classroom.

Ultimately, you want to be able to understand French shows on Netflix, read French books, and chat with some cool French people.

    You have varying experience levels

Lots of you have learned languages before, either as a kid or in your adult life. But for some of you, this is your first foray into multilingualism.

Either way, you’re excited to take the leap and immerse yourself in a new culture!

We used these insights (along with expert guidance from a certified French teacher) to structure the course so that you could get the most out of our content.

    Here's what you'll get

French for the Real World has 4 hours worth of content, including videos, workbooks, and extra materials.

Hey there! I'm Michelle, founder of Naked French.

I’m obsessed with travelling, learning languages and immersing myself in different cultures.

Naked French originally began as a passion project to document my own French language journey. And now, I’m taking everything I’ve learned about learning French and sharing it with you!

Although I may be fluent, I’m still no expert. That’s why I’ve recruited some good French friends of mine to help me create this course and show you Paris in the way only French natives can.

I hope you get as much out of this course as we put into it. And most importantly, I hope you enjoy the journey!

    FAQs

Can I sign up at any time?

Sure! We don’t have enrolment periods, so you can access the course whenever you want.

Is the course entirely in French?

Just like our podcast, this course is a mixture of French and English to make sure you understand the important stuff.

We’ve also added subtitles to make it easier to follow , since we know Parisians can speak really fast.

I have more questions – can I talk to someone?

Can’t find the answers you need? Feel free to get in touch and we’ll be happy to help you out.

How long will the course take me?

This course has around 2.5 hours of video content. With the exercises and extra content, most learners finish in ~4 hours.

We’ve designed the course to be taken over 6 weeks to help you establish an effective learning routine, but if you want, you can speedrun it in a day. You do you!

How is the course different from the podcast?

While both are fun ways to listen to real people speak French, this course goes into a lot more depth about rules, cultural norms, and how to actually speak French. Think of it as a practical guide, while the podcast is more of a practice resource.

Does the course involve live lessons?

All course content is prerecorded. If you do have any quick questions or need clarification, reach out to us by email. We have a certified French teacher on board who can help.

What happens if I get busy?

We get it. That’s why we created bite-sized lessons you can fit around your day, not the other way around.

And if you need to take a break, no worries. With lifetime access to the program, you’ll be able to complete the course at your own pace and revisit whenever you need.
